Drawing the plane (or floor) 3/4 down the horizontal plane. This creates the illusion that the figures are off the floor. Add shadows, the size the shadows can help create height to the composition.

Step 1: Draw Children. Since they are Jumping for Joy Happy Faces are important.
Step 2: Draw the Horizon. It should be slightly about the bottom edge of the paper. the 3/4 proportion will be ideal. 
Step 3: Add shapes for shadow
Step 4: Add in Colours. Colour Pencils, Oil Pastel or Paint will do just fine.
