Three sculptures-types inspired by A.Calder



Explore three sculpture-types by the great Alexander Calder.
The pieces are relatively easy to execute for his geometric shapes are known to children.
The pieces are also not too costly as paper, wire, cardboard, paints are the key ingredients.


#1: Standbiles













It was interesting to see how many standbiles took its own form in hands of the K1 and K2 students. Many got really creative and made it their own, like the one on the right most: Its a Pirate Ship!!!


#2: Sculpture / Environment (May 2011)























Pieces took shape of creatures /animal, the sculpture in orange could be an elephant. A group of four nursery students worked together to constrct this one-of-a-kind piece :D
