Twine and Splatter

This project was inspired by artist December Pang (Singapore) and her Threads/Textile pieces. Students called these Spiderweb.

We did a spin using cotton twine spun over an unused frame. Two pax were buddied up.
Tip: do not be too concern of the neatness or taut of the twine, at the back of our frame - its filled with knots.

Next, we used fabric paint and batik dye to splatter paint all over the twine and wooden frame. And rotate the colours after Ten Counts.

This is done with cotton yarn.

Tip: Place watercolour paper or towel to absorb the dyes. After all, it can end up being another piece :D.
