trees on a hill

using poster colour (ideally it should be watercolour or chinese ink) and loads of water on a coarse grainpaper.

the colours were added with a folded wash-cloth, instead of sponge or brush.

the students enjoyed the feel of the fabric against the paper. of course water "play" is always their favourite.

whats best is that the paper does not tear easy. and any mistakes, forgiving, as the next colour runs right over.

this is a start to introduce the concept More Water = Lighter shade
Less Warer = Darker shade
